Do I need to have a GP referral?

You do not need to have a GP referral in order to consult with a psychologist. However, if you would like to claim Medicare rebate, you are required by Medicare to be referred by your GP, psychiatrist, or paediatrician before you can be eligible.

Do I need to have a GP referral if I am an overseas student?

You do not need to have a GP referral in order to consult with a psychologist. However, if you would like to claim from your OSHC, you are required to have a GP’s referral.

How much is my Medicare rebate?

Your Medicare rebate amount is $ 87.45 per 50min session, if you see a general psychologist. The rebate is $128.40 per 50min session, if you see a clinical psychologist. Your rebate amount will increase significantly after you reach Safety Net.

What are Medicare Safety Nets?

Medicare Safety Nets help you to lower your out of pocket costs. When you spend over a certain amount in a calendar year (Jan 1 to Dec 31), you will receive a higher amount rebate. 2) Ask your GP’s clinic to fax the referral letter to 8849 9436, our clinic manager will call you back

3) Leave a note for us on this website

4) Unless you are a minor, we do not arrange appointment without the consent of the client. So if you are contacting us on behalf of your family member or friend, please make sure that they can be contacted for verification.
